Beabadoobee has just dropped her third studio album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves, under the Dirty Hit label, and it’s every bit as captivating as fans had hoped. With the legendary Rick Rubin at the production helm, known for his work with icons like Johnny Cash, Adele, and Slayer, the album has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

The buzz surrounding the album has only grown with the release of  singles leading up to it. Among them, “Take A Bite” which stands out as a perfect opener, capturing that nostalgic ’90s vibe while adding a smooth, sexy touch with its jangly guitar riffs and infectious melody.

While Beabadoobee remains true to the grunge influences that defined her first two albums, This Is How Tomorrow Moves also explores new territory with refreshing indie-folk and pop elements. Her stunning, unmistakable voice shines throughout, delivering lyrics full of beautifully poetic self-awareness, raw honesty, and emotional depth.

The album’s second track, “California,” ramps up the energy with its fuzzy, rock-driven guitars, setting the tone for a record that never stays in one place for long. Across the 14 tracks, the album seamlessly transitions between slower, melodic moments and vibrant, riff-heavy anthems, even incorporating saxophone and piano for added texture.

From start to finish, This Is How Tomorrow Moves is a strong, cohesive body of work. Beabadoobee’s direct, heartfelt approach makes each track feel personal, as if she’s wearing her heart on her sleeve with every note. Her voice carries the listener through tales of life and relationships, capturing the complex emotions of this time with maturity and grace. This album is a compelling and emotional journey, showcasing Beabadoobee at her most reflective and powerful
